Lona's Journey

This page is dedicated to Lona Lee Holm, co-founder of Clear Point Therapy.

Lona Lee Holm is somebody who shared a passion for learning to heal.  We became casual friends about 7 years into my personal healing journey.  During the second year of our friendship, I was surprised to discover that a bond had been kindled - or rekindled.  We had found a deep soulful connection (apparently twin flames).  And the power of this connection - with God’s help - helped awaken us both, and to lift the dark energy chains that bound each of us to private lives that were hurting us. Our battles for freedom and renewal intensified for each of us when we formally committed our love to each other.  We found ourselves engaged in a real battle to survive and thrive, and therefore also began an intense process that necessarily allowed us to become better healers.

Lona was a natural healer.  But she advanced in her God-given gift of perceiving the unseen world.  She could see what we were being hit with as we joined our lives and joined our work.  I discovered increasing abilities to clear what I could identify, most especially with Lona's help.  I could feel the releases which confirmed her gifts as well as my God-given healing abilities. I was somewhat protected by this process, but suffered injury.  Unfortunately, Lona was the one who suffered the most over the next 15 years as we both learned huge lessons about the possibilities of both dark and light consciousness forces on this planet, and about how to deal with increased attacks on our beings and work.

Lona's love, intelligence and creativity brought such joy to my life.  Over the course of our happy 16 year marriage, our love for God, for each other, and for all God-loving beings increased.  Lona's special compassion for rescue dogs meant that they benefited from our our increasing abilities to ease their ills, even as Lona's own body succumbed to one disease after another.  None of this surprised Lona though.  She told me that she would eventually suffer a stroke and then leave the planet ahead of me.  She was right.  She had a massive stroke in December of 2017 which left half of her body paralyzed. As much as my healing efforts helped her through one challenge after another, I was not ultimately able to prevent a stroke or to help her recover.  But Lona never lost her sense of humor and we continued to battle on, devoted to each other and our work.  I was eventually able to bring Lona home, where it was my privilege to be with her, and to care for her, for over a year until she died peacefully in July of 2019.

When Lona's soul left her broken body her spirit was freed.  She did go to God (to heaven, to the beyond). But she was not done.  She returned for a period, to combine her energy with mine, to continue to assist me in the battle for my own health and healing, and to aid me in my efforts to heal others. This is key.  It appears that when I can energetically identify and heal what plagues me, then I can heal that in others.  And when I can help and heal others, that allows me to progress in identifying and healing a wider variety of ailments. 

Lona uncombined her energy with mine in the summer of 2020 in rather dramatic fashion.  And now God is combining his energies with mine to keep the work evolving.  Lona is still working with me, just on a very advanced level as I continue my life and work.  Some day when it's time, I will re-unite with Lona my twin flame fully again.  It will be a glorious time.  But for now, I continue my light-filled journey in this body on this planet, as God continues to lead me on a path that I willingly walk.

With every step up and down the trail, I know that Lona is walking with me, with us.  With every shovel-full of dirt and every seed and bulb I plant in the new gardens, I know she is helping to bless the flower and fruits.  When I gaze into the deep pool of water, she is also smiling.  God bless you, my twin flame.  And may any of my clients who read know that Lona’s work is in any healing that comes your way.

Recently, my 13 year old daughter had been exposed to a crisis that no mother would ever want a daughter or son to experience. I knew that she needed help immediately! Personally, I have been working with another reputable clear point therapist, he highly recommended you as a great, loving, caring person for my teenaged daughter. Our first experience with you was astounding! One personal example with Lona. I was coming down with a sore throat, flu like symptoms. I came to Lona. The symptoms never got any worse, and in two days I had no symptoms.

As someone that is ever-searching to improve my path in life, albeit health, emotional or spiritual, I feel blessed to have crossed paths with you! The remote treatments I have received have helped to strengthen me for the stresses and turmoils of not only daily living but loss, grief and a lifelong depression that has been difficult to manage traditionally. The balance I feel is a tremendous relief emotionally and the energy I have now helps me to keep up with the busy ranch life I lead.

That you can do the remote treatments from hundreds of miles away was even more amazing to me as I live rurally and must drive at least 3 hours to get to a city. Dear Lona,

For years we have had a wonderful friendship and we have both shared shattering events in our lives about life and death. I was devastated when your told me about your diagnosis of breast cancer and the only thing that I could do was to listen to the words about this horrible event and pray that you would recover soon. In time, and with arduous treatment, you did recover and I was very thankful.

On March 14, 2005, my husband passed away after a long illness which included open heart surgery, congestive heart failure, kidney failure, severe arthritis and other "illnesses of the old" as stated on his death certificate. He was 81 years old, 15 years my senior, and we had a wonderful marriage of 31 years.

By trade I am a retired Medical Technologist with a specialty in Microbiology. After spending many years studying and working in this "hard science", where we produced test results that helped diagnose and treat patient illnesses. During all of these years of pain and depression, my thoughts of alternative medicine deepened and you introduced me to Energy Medicine, I purchased a book that I am slowly studying. Right now I have the attention span of a gnat, and I do look forward to greater understanding of the work.

During the last days of my husband's life, you did remote treatments on both of us and after his passing, and then treated me again remotely, twice.

In summary I can only say that I was sad, but calm, and energized enough to make the appropriate decisions for the funeral, while previously, I could not even choose the floral arrangements.

You have agreed to schedule me for remote distant treatments as needed and I will continue to learn more.

Lona modestly calls herself a therapist, but she is really a healer. I visited her studio for the first time after reading an article about her work in a local health magazine. Having never been to a Clear Point Therapist, and not knowing what to expect, I was initially nervous about working with Lona. In addition, as a Christian, I knew that I could work with a healer only if she respected my faith. Lona immediately put me at ease during my first session with her. After leaving her studio, I felt happier and lighter than I had in years. In fact, I felt so good that I continued to work with her several times a week. Now, after fewer than 10 sessions with Lona, I feel as though the weight of the world has been lifted from my shoulders and that I am free to move forward with purpose in my life. And, not only has Lona helped me, but she has also helped my beloved pets. My very arthritic dog, who on most days eschewed walking and jumping because of his pain, is now walking with me for miles at a time and jumping and barking like he did when he was a puppy. News on the Summer Weekend, Cannon Beach, 12-14 August

Stress Relief and Healing Energy Therapist Will Be with Us

Lona MacDonald of Sumner, a remarkable figure in Clear Point Therapy (Tel. 253 970-1577, http://www.clearpointtherapy.com/index.shtml), will join our weekend to learn Tai Chi and to give a demonstration and complimentary individual mini-sessions for all who wish them. Then throughout the weekend she will be available for anyone who wants to schedule an appointment.

If you only want to know what my session with her was like, skip to the bold type below. If you want to know what went into that experience, read the light type that leads up to it in the following paragraphs.

It is one thing to hear or read about or to even talk to a genuine therapist, a healer; it is quite another to experience them working on you. Yesterday I had that experience. In my teaching, as you might imagine, a lot of contact occurs with those in alternative therapies—particularly energy and healing—so I’ve had a substantial exposure to such sessions. And, in those where life issues involving one’s mind and emotions in addition to the body’s health were concerned, I’ve not felt much effect because, I think, I’ve been blessed with a robust emotional and mental outlook.

Yet Lona did say that everyone, no matter how well put together they are, has some stuff to deal with. That’s one thing.

The other is, I’m extremely sympathetic to the rights, sensitivities and downright vulnerabilities my students may feel about their religious or spiritual path and the necessity to have it fully respected by any teacher or healer they may find in fields like Tai Chi and more martial martial arts, Yoga, stress relief, healing, energy. And I’ve frequently noticed, as I’m sure you have, the hidden agendas such people can insinuate into their relationships with their students or clients. A very important second thing!

Lona surprised with both. She found physical problems known to me that even my very good doctor is unaware of and also their related heart and mind dimensions—then conveyed the healing to them. She also, being so open and so free from having to convert anyone to her path, found the most central thread of my own path and was able to identify with it in her healing work.

I have to confess I was benevolently overwhelmed. She told me afterwards months of work was accomplished—her normal experience in a first session. My students and colleagues and friends: she is, I feel, a person for the times in which we are living, and I am most happy and honored to introduce her to you at the Summer Weekend.

An indication of her level of work may be suggested by remote sessions she told me she has given as far away as Hawaii with results equal to those done locally in the same room. Also that her range of accomplishment includes successful action on fibromyalgia, depression, allergies, low self-esteem, Parkinson’s disease, grief and suicidal movements, candida, anorexia and bulimia, sciatica, rape trauma, the trauma of parental sexual and physical abuse, and many more. It also includes the most serious diseases, publicly unmentionable ones due to government regulations.

Saturday August 27th (sorry this got delayed - I needed to ask Lona and Julie's permission to use their names and after they gave it, I thought I'd sent it.)

I want to tell you about a beautiful experience today: my anxiety level shrank after I received all your wonderful comments, prayers, good vibes, rainbows etc on Thursday, Friday and today; I hope I have thanked each and every one of you, certainly I did in spirit. There were still remnants of the anxiety in back waiting to pounce whenever I thought about breast cancer.

This evening whilst I was speaking on the phone to an old friend who now lives a whole day's drive away, she asked me how I was feeling now about Thursday. I thought for a moment and checked out my feelings, my stomach, my neck and shoulders .... to my astonishment all the tension had evaporated and I felt quite comfortable. When I told my friend that I was not feeling any anxiety now, I could hardly believe what I was saying and,knowing me as she has for 35 years, nor could she.

What I did not know was that Lona had been doing energy work on a listserve friend Julie,and they had "worked" together on me. Well, I was a skeptic once and am surrounded by skeptics - but no longer after this and other experiences on our list.

How can I explain this? Talking to this friend is not peaceful as she has fibromyalgia and cfs among other dis-ease: she is on morphine and is never pain-free, so my sudden ease was not due to that. I was hungry and thirsty and had had a rather nasty experience today when I found out that another friend has to go into a nursing home to die, so that didn't add to my ease. My daughter is in the agony of a broken romance, my son....., my grandchildren..... etc etc.

I feel so blessed; so very much appreciation goes to all of you who wrote and sent me prayers, reiki, good energy, and now to Lona for her inspirational "magic" (I use that word as a metaphor although this was truly magical for me), who found my tension and relieved it completely and to Julie who "surrogated" for me.

I don't pretend to understand it, yet the relief is tangible; as my grandma used to say in her wisdom: "The more I know, I know I know, I know I know the less."
