We all started learning about computers somewhere, and over the years I have saved good [ getting started with computer] pages. They should help you with editing, simple harware problems, and feeling more comfortable on email lists. These links can show you how to edit, how to remove the characters from forwards, and how to practice good netiquitte. Also there is a link here to find urban legends, you don't have to be fooled by forwards.

The Internet Traffic Report monitors the flow of data around the world. It then displays a value between zero and 100. Higher values indicate faster and more reliable connections.

I've been trying to get away from Microsoft products, and found Mozilla to be user friendly. I like Foxfire, the new broswer, and Thunderbird as an email client.
